Biography
As Chief Marketing Officer, Rhonda is responsible for leading the company’s worldwide marketing and branding strategy, to continuously improve the strength of the global Mary Kay brand and increase the retail sales opportunities for the almost 2 million Independent Beauty Consultants.
Rhonda joined Mary Kay in February of 1984, following four years at a Dallas advertising agency.
During her tenure at Mary Kay, she has devoted 10 years to the sales side of the business, working closely with the independent sales force in the United States, including roles in sales development and sales education. The majority of her Mary Kay career has seen her lead the company’s marketing efforts, including brand strategy, product line management, advertising and product PR, strategic intelligence and consumer insights, interactive marketing, creative services and marketing communications. Among the most recent significant changes that she has led are the global rebranding efforts initiated in 2006.
Rhonda grew up in the Dallas, Texas area, married her high school sweetheart, Van, and raised two children, Matt and Vanessa. She finds great satisfaction in helping other women develop their leadership strengths, creating solutions to complex problems, learning new things and continuing to discover her authentic self.
