Come and learn from our moderated panel of experts in Grassroots Marketing. Each one brings different approaches and successes to their small budget marketing activities. This program will focus on everything EXCEPT social media. There are many other ways to stretch your budget and resources, especially if you’re a small nonprofit, or even small business. Each panelist will present some of their most successful tools, followed by time for your questions and answers.
Learning Objective 1: Practical tips on grassroots marketing
Learning Objective 2: Ways that other small nonprofits have built awareness on small budgets.
A box lunch will be provided.
Register before 7:00 p.m. (CST) on February 2 and receive the pre-registration discount. Late registrations and walk-ins pay an additional $10 per registration (excluding students).
Please note DFW AMA's no-show policy: all attendees who pre-register will be required to pay online. Registrants may receive a full refund of the registration fee if cancellation is requested at least 48 hours prior to the event. Cancellations requested within 48 hours of the event will result in forfeiture of the registration fee.

Biography

Leslie Clayhas been navigating the nonprofit world since 2000. She has worked in Programs, Development and Administration (sometimes all at the same agency) for such nonprofits as the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, National Kidney Foundation Serving North Texas and Literacy Instruction for Texas. She has been the Chief Development Officer for Hope Cottage, Dallas’ oldest nonprofit, non-sectarian adoption agency since August 2009. She has a B.A. from Stephens College in Advertising and TV-Radio-Film and received a Masters in Liberal Arts from Southern Methodist University. She has previous experience in the “for profit” world as a technical writer and a bank officer. She is the Immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of Dallas-Uptown.

Amy Martinis regarded as the “Moonlady” for her popular eclectic online news service for North Texas called Moonlady News. A journalist and writer with over 30 years’ experience, she covers the non-mainstream spirituality, environment, holistic, metaphysic and progressive communities, sometime referred to as cultural creatives. Her community-portal website unveils in spring 2012 at www.Moonlady.com. A well-known North Texas leader in alternative and non-mainstream spirituality, and creator of the acclaimed Winter SolstiCelebration, she writes weekly from the spiritual-not-religious and Taoist perspective for Texas Faith blog at the Dallas Morning News daily newspaper. She and her husband share their wooded East Dallas home with several cats‚ two dogs and a variety of wildlife. They are developing a contemplative nature preserve northeast of Dallas.

Susan Hello is a Dallas native and, after graduating from the University of Texas in Austin, spent 20 years working in New York and Connecticut in the “Jingle” business. She returned to Dallas and has been President –Executive Director at For the Love of the Lake since 2006. She is extremely proud of the organization’s accomplishments. She also serves as a consultant for the National Institute of Health and as an Ambassador for the East Dallas Chamber of Commerce

Ann Ranson is a sales & marketing strategist, consultant and trainer who helps her clients achieve their objectives by integrating values based strategies.
Ann’s mission is to promote, support and activate inspired business models for people, planet and profit, which she defines as business relationships built on practical win-win solutions, civility and trust. She is committed to the practice of Civility which she believes is the first step towards more rewarding relationships.
In addition to acting as the president of Bottom Line 3 Marketing, Ann also leads the Nonprofit Special Interest Group for the DFW Chapter of the American Marketing Association and sits on the board of the National Speakers Association/North Texas.
