Speaker Anita Foster, Brian Teague

Position: Sr. Communications Officer; President, CEO, Co-founder
Company: American Red Cross, PocketStop

Event Description

This is a panel discussion on Mobile Giving, and features three experts on this hot new topic.  They will share their perspective, results and ways that you can leverage this new fundraising tool.

The Red Cross launched a mobile giving strategy just three hours after the devastating earthquake in Haiti. The results of the campaign were astounding and it is their belief that this mobile strategy has forever changed how donors will give during large-scale disasters.

On top of launching the mobile giving strategy, the American Red Cross also utilized social media to alert the world about how they could give by texting "Haiti" to 90999. Social media drove the Text Campaign, again revolutionizing how we will communicate with the world in the future.

Pocketstop’s Mobile Giving services allow charitable organizations to implement a Mobile Donor Acquisition Strategy. By using a keyword along with text messaging any non-profit organization can use mobile to drive awareness and accept donations.
