Corey Matthews is an AIRS certified Executive Search professional and the Managing Partner of VerticalReach Consulting Group, LLC. His direct client experience spans global to mid-market corporations, consulting firms and non-profits across many industries.

Prior to launching VerticalReach, Corey founded the Retail, Consumer and Supply Chain Practice at The Empower Network (TEN), a venture funded start-up Executive Search and Recruitment Process Outsourcing firm. Prior to this, Corey was Vice President and Principal at Hylê Human Capital Partners, also a start-up, Director of Recruiting Solutions with the Mid-Level Retained Division of TMP Worldwide (now Hudson Global) and Associate with Kenzer.  Corey began his Executive Search career with Craig Affiliates, a boutique firm specializing in the Retail and Wholesale Grocery Industry for which he designed and hosted the firms’ first website in 1996. Prior to becoming a Search Consultant, Corey progressed through various roles in field merchandising, sales and management in the Retail, Home Entertainment and Publishing Industries.

Corey earned a BA degree in Mass Communications from Harding University and is a member of the school’s President’s Council. Other personal and professional affiliations include The Institute for Supply Management, The Association for Corporate Growth, the DFW Retail Executives Association, The American Heart Association’s Heart Walk Sponsorship Committee, and Preston Road Church of Christ.

 
Laura Linthicum has over 20 years of Recruiting and HR experience with CPG and Retail companies.  She is currently the Senior Manager of Corporate Recruiting for Brinker International.  She is responsible for hiring Marketing talent (in addition to supporting other functional areas) for the corporate office, as well as for Chili’s, On the Border and Maggiano’s restaurants.  She has previously worked for Central Market/H.E.B., Pinnacle Consulting and TSS.  

 
April Kuykendall received her MBA and BBA in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management from the University of North Texas.  April has worked for several entrepreneurial companies in the DFW metroplex. She is currently employed as the Associate Director at the University of North Texas Career Center. She works primarily with College of Business students and as an adjunct professor for the Management Department at UNT.
